What is Lime Sulfur?
Lime Sulfur is not safe for all trees or plants and can harm certain
varieties
when applied to the foliage or the soil, research before using
for any reason other than application to dead wood.
Lime sulfur can be used as an insecticide and acaricide to control
over wintering insects such as mites, scales and aphid eggs. The lime
sulfur works on the wax of scale insects, softening them. Lime
sulfur is used commercially as a dormant spray. Lime Sulfur seals
wounds acting as a barrier to bacteria which can cause infection to
your tree. Lime sulfur can be applied to the soil and applied as a foliar
feeding. Lime Sulfur is not safe for all trees or plants and can harm
certain varieties.
Lime sulfur can be used as a fungicide to control fungal diseases
as Peach leaf curl, leaf spot and powdery mildew. Lime sulfur is
normally used diluted to one Tablespoon per quart of water when
used as a fungicide.
