This is the soil the Japanese use for Bonsai. It is high fired clay that

holds moisture without saturating the roots and breaks down very slowly so it is

good for a couple of years between pottings. You may use as-is or add organic

matter as your needs dictate. We sift out all of the small matter so you get only the soil

you see in the picture above. This is the best stuff you can plant your

Bonsai trees in, bar none.
