Terms and Conditions Regarding
Shipping and Payment

What Payments Are Accepted

Paypal, Visa and Mastercard. United States Postal Money Order with prior approval. No C.O.D.

Payments are only accepted for orders requesting shipment within the Continental U.S.

Paypal's secure website handles all the payment information and notifies us when the payment has been processed or funds cleared. Paypal is one of the safest ways to do transactions over the internet for both parties. PayPal offers added buyer/seller protections.

Paypal now accepts payment by Visa, Mastercard, private Paypal accounts and e-checks.

Paypal accepts e-checks, however your order will not ship until funds have cleared which could take up to 5 business days so order early or use a credit card.

USPS Money Orders must be approved in advance, if payment is received without prior approval and the ordered item has already been sold your money order will be returned to you immediately unless we have a way to contact you regarding a replacement item.

USPS Money Orders and e-checks must clear before shipment is made which will add a short delay in shipment, so order early.

How A Live Tree Is Packaged For Shipment

Your bonsai will come in a large carton and will be wired or strapped to the bottom of the carton for the safety of the plant during the shipping process. Cellophane will be used to keep the soil contained during the shipment.

When you receive your delivery, gather a large trash can or bag, a pair of wire cutters or heavy duty scissors to open and remove the tree.

Begin by opening the top of the carton, cutting through the tape. After opening the top of the box check for styrafoam packing material. If there is a large amount of popcorn filler, raise the entire carton and tilt into a trash can or large trash bag and pour out the filling. Do this process slowly and as you tilt the package keep our hand in a position as to be able to catch your item should it have become dislodged from its strapping.

Next cut down any side of the carton to give yourself a better vantage point on the straps or wires and allow you better access with your hands.

Next snip through the strapping. If wire was used you can snip or untwist. Use caution, the ends of the wires or straps can be very sharp.

Always watch out for thorns if your speciman comes so equipped!

Carefully unwrap the plastic wrapped around the pot and soil. Use caution when unwrapping and try to avoid pulling the plant to one side or getting the plastic caught in the branches.

Immediately water the plant with fresh water. Watering from above is recommended as this will force fresh oxygen and water into the soil.

Place your new bonsai in a location with filtered sun, not too much as first.

Read care instructions on your particular species and follow the directions carefully.

Do not fertilize for 3 weeks. Your bonsai has recently been fertilized and may experience some shipping stress for a couple of weeks after shipment from lack of sunlight and acclimating to its new location.

Tropical bonsai species grown indoors will require humidity trays and possible additional lighting to stay healthy. If growing indoors read our "How to care for indoor bonsai" information page. Most tropical bonsai will require protection during the winter months except in the warmest of climates.
